Gawler is just north of Adelaide and not far from the Adelaide International Bird Sanctuary, which is a haven for migratory waders.
I’ll be flying in to meet members of the Adelaide Soaring Club for lunch around midday. The flight will take me past the Southern Fliniders Ranges near Port Pirie to Clare Valley to Kapunda before heading south along the eastern side of the highway.
