Join me, Microlight Milly, live from the cockpit as we begin the trek east across the Nullarbor Plain! This will be the sixth flight leg of Wing Threads: Flight Around Oz 🛫
Flight leg 6 was completed in two stages. This video shows the first stage from Myrup Heights near Esperance up until I land at Balladonia where I refuelled and had a break for lunch.
To get to Balladonia, I followed the Esperance-Parmango Road north from Condingup. On the way, I flew over Condingup Primary School and buzzed the kids as requested 😄
After that, it was pretty much tiger country (not many places to land in case of an emergency) until I made it to the Eyre Highway!
I made it to Balladonia before my ground crew of one, Keith, who is driving my car with the microlight trailer for me, so I stopped to grab a coffee and chat to the locals.
The next video shows the second stage of the flight from Balladonia to Caiguna where Keith and I car camped at Caiguna Roadhouse overnight and then flew to Eucla the next day. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/aATIcDcWAUw
