Flight Leg 19 Livestream Replay – Tyabb to Latrobe Valley VIC

Join me LIVE from the cockpit for flight leg nineteen of Wing Threads: Flight Around Oz! We’ll be flying over Boonwurrung and Kurnai Country from Tyabb to the Latrobe Valley in Victoria 🛫

This flight takes us over the northern part of Western Port Bay before heading inland over East Gippsland. Westernport Bay is one of the most important sites for migratory shorebirds. In particular, the critically endangered Eastern Curlew. The Western Port Biosphere is also part of UNESCO’s network of internationally recognised biosphere reserves and a Ramsar site.

One of the best places to see migratory shorebirds in Western Port Bay is at Stockyard Point at high tide.

Unfortunately, I only made it to Drouin before the reception on my phone cut out and no more livestream!

Special thanks to Western Port Biosphere for sponsoring this flight leg 🙏
