Who will win the race to Broome – Amellia or the satellite-tagged shorebirds?
Join us for a night of adventure with zoologist turned pilot,
Amellia Formby. Departing from Broome in March 2019, Amellia
will attempt to fly around Australia in a microlight aircraft in the
same amount of time it takes a group of satellite-tagged shorebirds
to migrate to the Arctic & back.
See the plane & feel her committment & passion as she speaks
about her project to introduce students to migratory shorebirds
in collaboration with BirdLife Australia.
All proceeds raised will go towards Wing Threads: Flight Around
Oz to deliver shorebird workshops to schools around Australia.
